What do you do?
Much of what I do involves talking with you to sensitively brand and market your work, your project, event or business. Together, we determine its character, tone and visual presentation.
Then, we communicate effectively with your fans, customers or donors, so they can stay in touch, get updates, and be reminded of you.
It can be difficult to ask for support, or talk about yourself and your work! But your audiences want to connect with you. Let’s clarify, refine and present your work at its best, to attract grant funding, patron enthusiasm, individual donors, or customers.
It’s very rewarding to get to know your projects and you - each of my amazing clients.
I love to help artists advance their careers, and to grow nonprofits to their full potential.

Over the past decade I have written over 150 grants, large and small.
Some for my own artwork, for the large-scale works I’ve made for New Orleans Airlift, for clients like Djerassi Resident Artists Program (which was awarded their first CA Arts Council grant!) and for established and emerging artists.
I have written and been awarded grants for my original programming from the NEA (2023 & 2024), California Arts Council (2021 & 2023), SF Arts Commission, and the Awesome Foundation’s “On The Water” grant.
In New Orleans, my organization was awarded national grants from the Gates Foundation, Mapfund, Burning Man’s Community Arts award and the New Music foundation. Locally we received grants from the Arts Council and from several local private foundations.

In my decade+ of working with arts nonprofits, I have established Patron Circles, created Membership models, and written and conducted many fundraising campaigns.
For The Box Shop, a San Francisco-based industrial arts studio, I wrote a proposal that brought in $500k of foundation funding in 2025.
I have also produced annual gala events & live auctions, drawing on my concert and festival background to create memorable, resonant experiences for attendees. -
I have worked with independent filmmakers, artists, festivals and a toy company, to grow a following & strategize successful campaigns on various platforms.
These campaigns have ranged in size from $20k to $80k and several repeated annually, to reach and activate donors at all levels. -
What are you doing and why? Who for? How can you most effectively continue, grow, or shrink? These questions seem simple but they are easy to lose track of in your day to day. Let’s revisit and make a plan!
I have written analyses and plans for clients of varying sizes and at different stages of growth, as well as originated and planned new directions such as creating new revenue streams, Membership programs, and curatorial outreach.
